Sally Torpey

Sally Torpey is a Ghanaian international fashion designer, entrepreneur, creative industry leader and cultural institution architect with a strong focus on international trade, investment, enterprise development and the advancement of African creative industries.

She serves as Treasurer of the Association of Ghana Industries (AGI), Accra, where she contributes to the leadership and strategic direction of the Association. Drawing on her entrepreneurial experience, international exposure and expertise in the creative sector, she brings a global perspective to efforts to strengthen Ghanaian businesses, expand market opportunities and build strategic connections between Ghanaian enterprises and international markets.

Sally is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Sallet Fashion House LLC, a Ghanaian-American fashion enterprise promoting African creativity, manufacturing and cultural heritage to international audiences. Through her work, she has positioned fashion not only as a creative expression but also as a platform for enterprise development, cultural exchange and international commercial engagement.

Her work extends beyond fashion into the development of cultural and commercial institutions that connect African heritage, creativity, enterprise and global audiences. She is passionate about creating opportunities for African businesses and creatives to access new markets, establish international partnerships and participate more effectively in global value chains.

As an AGI leader, Sally brings particular interest and experience in bilateral trade, investment, international market access and Diaspora engagement. She is committed to strengthening connections between Ghanaian enterprises and global markets while supporting opportunities for businesses to build strategic partnerships and expand internationally.

Her areas of leadership include bilateral trade and investment, global trade and market access, fashion and manufacturing, creative industries, cultural institution development, women and youth enterprise, Diaspora engagement and international partnerships.

Sally has been recognised for her leadership and influence among Africa's emerging business and creative leaders. She is a two-time honoree of Africa 100 Most Influential Young Leaders, receiving the recognition in 2023 and 2024.
