Maureen Erekua Odoi, PhD

Dr. Maureen Erekua Odoi is a corporate governance professional, private-sector strategist and business development expert with over two decades of experience in enterprise development, financial governance, industrial advocacy and strategic advisory services.

She is a National Treasurer and Executive Council Member of the Association of Ghana Industries (AGI) and serves as Vice-Chairman of the AGI Greater Accra Chapter. She is also the National Chair and Founding Executive of AGI Women in Business, where she leads initiatives focused on strengthening the participation and growth of women-owned and women-led enterprises within Ghana's private sector.

Through her leadership roles within AGI, Dr. Odoi contributes to efforts to strengthen Ghana's industrial sector and promote a more enabling environment for businesses. Her experience in financial governance, private-sector advocacy and enterprise development provides valuable insight into issues affecting businesses, including access to finance, regulatory policy, industrial competitiveness and sustainable growth.

Dr. Odoi is also the Executive Director and Principal Advisor of African Aurora Business Network Advisory Services, where she provides strategic advisory and business development support to enterprises, corporate organisations and other stakeholders. Her work spans enterprise development, agribusiness, supply-chain development, emerging technologies and access to finance.

She has extensive experience working across the private sector, government and development ecosystem. She previously served as Consortium Director and Business Development Services Technical Lead for the MasterCard Foundation's YIEDIE Project, where she provided leadership for a major youth enterprise development initiative implemented in partnership with Global Communities.

In addition to her AGI responsibilities, Dr. Odoi serves as an Executive Council Member of the Ghana National Chamber of Commerce and Industry (GNCCI) and as a Board Director of the GNCCI Credit Union, contributing to strategic and fiduciary oversight.

Dr. Odoi holds a PhD in Agribusiness and Climate Finance from the University of Ghana, an MPhil in Agribusiness from the University of Ghana and the University of Guelph, Canada, and a BSc in Agribusiness Management from Central University College. She also holds a Postgraduate Certificate in Design Thinking from the University of Ghana and a Diploma in Data Processing from KNUST.

Her work and leadership have received national and international recognition, including recognition among Africa's Most Influential Women in Business and Government, a U.S. Department of State honour, and a Lifetime Leadership Award.

Through her leadership, professional expertise and commitment to private-sector development, Dr. Odoi continues to contribute to the growth of Ghanaian businesses and the advancement of Ghana's industrial and business community.
